Viewers Platform - Design & Build Workshop

And design-and-build workshop in the rural village of Koshirakura, combined with a concept sketch workshop led by the AA University in London. Contrasting visions of a rural and urban cultural and economic climate in Japan were explored. It was a rich cultural exchange with fellow participants as well as the local population. As a group, we experimented with different Japanese timber joinery and dealt with the issue of structural earthquake resistance to re-build a viewing platform. http://www.koshirakura.org/
